We headed up to Memere & Gramps lake house for our 4th of July vacation! Unfortunately, it rained most of the time, so we weren't able to play in the water or go out on the boat, but we still had fun!
Due to the rain, there wasn't much to do other than sit back and relax with a good drink! ;~)
Here I am running back and forth from Mommy to Daddy!
Gramps was in his room working, but I kept distracting him by playing peek-a-boo! It was a riot!!!
As you can see in the back round, it was pretty gloomy, so me and Daddy decided to take some pictures with the new camera I got for my birthday...
Mommy, Auntie Nicole, and Memere went to Tilton one day and did some shopping...I was trying to scope out what Mommy bought for me!
Finally, the sun came out (not for long) and we decided to go for a hike along the river. On the way there, I was having a blast playing with Auntie Nicole's sunglasses!
Mommy & Daddy told me that where we were standing an old barn used to be, but it burnt down and now there was a clear view of the river...check out those rapids!
We made it back to the lake house just in the knick of time...look at those clouds rolling in! You couldn't see anything beyond them and the wind was so strong it was causing white caps on the water (whatever those are!)
You can tell I was going a little stir crazy at this point, so I decided I would eat Auntie Nicole's make-up bag to entertain myself!
Gus and Piper came on vacation with us too.

Saturday morning there was a couple hours of sun, so Mommy soaked it in as much as she could and you can tell, cause she got a little red!
Each night we took turns making dinner so that not everyone was cooking & cleaning and we could enjoy our time! This was Auntie Nicole & Uncle Mitch's night...here's Auntie doing the dishes!

And of couse, Sunday morning (the day we had to head home) the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day! Me and Daddy decided to soak it up before we had to hit the road!
Even though it rained most of our vacation, we had a great time at the lake anyways! And as Memere says..."If you're lucky enough to be at the lake,
you're lucky enough!"
